Do you guys like this story? Did you guys have a takeaway from it? Do you think there is a moral or a life lesson the author is trying to communicate to his readers?

  1. I thought this was an interesting story. Not sure if I like it because I felt foolish that I didn’t see the end coming.
Perhaps the author was trying to show us that things are not always as they seem.

  2. I didn't like the story very much but I thought it was an interesting read. I think that the author might have been trying to show us what pride can do to oneself.

  3. That's a good point of view Jonas! And branching off your idea, maybe the author was saying, things are NEVER how they seem.

  4. I thought the story was interesting to see from the villain's perspective and I enjoyed it for that reason.

  5. I didn't enjoy the story very much because, the author made you think that Payton escaped and would be able to see his family again, but really he was dying .
